Designing for Sustainability

In the past years, "festival tent" culture has become a widening issue of non-biodegradable waste in which tens of thousands of synthetic tents are incinerated or thrown into landfills each year. This project addresses this growing social issue through sustainability and will experiment with designing a recyclable alternative.

Initial Research & 1st Iteration

Explore the initial research leading into the 1st iteration and development of this project below.

Project Refinement

Following acceptance into GeorgiaTech's Create X Launch program and aquisition of seed funding, refinements and developments were made to advance this project concept into a viable product for the public.

Final Product

Planit Tent presents a 100% recyclable base and modular 4-person-tent that is capable of transforming into a 2-person-hammock.
