TALCHUM VR EXPERIENCE

Building a digital space for cultural exploration.

"The loss of cultural practices can lead to reduced social cohesion and loss of appreciation for tradition."

This project focuses attention to a cultural heritage endangered of being forgotten and creates an educational, immersive exhibition experience in effort to conserve, preserve, and celebrate the tradition for the benefit of future generations.

Talchum: A History

Talchum, also known as Korean Masked Dance, is a traditional performing art that combines elements of dance, music, and theatre.

This unique form of expression dates back to the Three Kingdoms Period from 18 BCE to 935 CE and features performers wearing masks and costumes accompanied by traditional music and singing.
